This paper answers two questiosn on civil rights and law, the first considering the history of civil righs and how this affects the disucssion over reparations today, and the second consiering how Patricia J. Williams in her book "The Alchemy of Race and Rights" uses self-reflection in developing her arguemnts about race and rights under the law, herself being a lawyer.
