This paper discusses the world of TV animation has come a long way since the days when it could be found only on Saturday mornings and during after-school hours. Today, "cartoons" can be found twenty-four hours a day, from children's shows on Nickelodeon, and the Cartoon Network, to more adult-oriented fare on Comedy Central and prime-time network television. For this study, I decided to watch four contrasting styles of animated programs.
