Hispanics and the Legal System: Discrimination from Police and in the Courts.
This paper examines the differences between the treatment of Hispanics and whites in the process of criminal persecution. Examples such as arrest percentages, "social profiling", and disparities in sentencing are addressed. The paper concludes by suggesting that minorities need to be appointed to positions of power within the legal system to bring this form of prejudice under control. 8 pgs. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
