This paper gauges the ideology of Martin Luther King, Jr. based on two of his lesser-known essays: "Where We Are Going" and "The Dilemmas of Negro Americans." These essays show how his message became more and more radical, while still retaining his dedication to nonviolent confrontation of oppression that he adapted from Gandhi's teachings. 8 pgs.
